Beckett-head
This is Beckett-head. He showed up in a customer's front yard one frigid morning. He had FROST on his back. He was freezing and very thin. He was also completely BLIND. We took him in and on his first vet visit it was determined that he had a severe case of heartworm---an easily preventable disease. At his age, with the advanced case of heartworm, at our veterinarian's suggestion, we elected not to treat him. We did our best to keep him as happy, healthy and comfortable as possible. Jessie, his special "care partner" (and his namesake), made sure that he feels loved. A special thanks to Christine Bornand. Her affinity for yellow labs led her to be Beckett's special sponsor. He was humanely euthanized in August 2007 with his dear friend Jessie petting him and holding him and telling him what a fine, fine friend he was.
